Despite the fact that I cycle past the Botanic Gardens to and from work four days a week, I hadn't been there for months and months! My friend Marianne and I were in that part of town watering a friend's plants (she watered; I watched), so we decided to pop in for a walk around. I do miss living near the Botanic Gardens. The roses were beautiful, the greenhouses were warm and fetid, and the conversation was stimulating.

It's nice to interrupt yourself to notice all the beautiful plants around you and marvel at weird looking specimens. We tried to get the meat eating plants to bite our fingers, but no luck.
